Job Summary:

The patient service representative plays a crucial role in delivering excellent patient care by managing front desk operations, scheduling appointments, verifying insurance, and ensuring a positive patient experience.

Duties/Responsibilities:

Greet and check in patients with professionalism and courtesy. Registration, load insurance, verify referrals, collect copay and balances. Scheduling of office visits and outpatient diagnostic testing. Assist Physicians and staff in scheduling patients. Manage incoming hospital requests according to set protocol. Key player and participant in alerting and assisting entire building of emergencies. Assist patients with directions to all office locations. Take messages when required and maintain said records of all communications Follow all established scheduling protocol as provided by the Supervisor. Maintain patient confidentiality according to HIPAA regulations Represent our Practice and Facility to referring Physicians, patients and all other callers, in a positive and pleasant manner. Serve as a liaison between patients, providers, and clinical teams to ensure seamless patient flow. Perform additional duties as assigned by the supervisor to support the needs of the practice and ensure optimal patient care.

Required Skills/Abilities:

Ability to multi-task, problem solve, and prioritize tasks based on urgency. Excellent usage of Multi phone line system and heavy computer use. Friendly and professional customer service skills in person and on the phone. Ability to work cooperatively and communicate effectively with others. Flexibility, promptness and desire to be a team player. Excellent organizational, oral and written communication skills. Exceptional attention to detail with emphasis on accuracy and efficiency. Adhere to business casual dress code as set by SDCA. Must have flexibility in work schedule. Patient facing role. Must have ability to travel to any office location assigned for that day.

Education and Experience:

Must have high school diploma or equivalent (GED) Medical office experience preferred

Physical Requirements:

Ability to assist with adult patient in emergencies as needed Lifting requirements do not exceed 25 pounds Hours a

Compensation:
