Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated Outpatient Psychiatrist specializing in Young Adult Services to join our dynamic mental health team. In this role, you will provide comprehensive psychiatric care to young adults experiencing a range of mental health challenges, including mood disorders, anxiety, trauma-related conditions, developmental disabilities, and substance use issues. You will conduct thorough patient assessments, develop individualized treatment plans, and deliver evidence-based therapies both in-person and via telehealth platforms. Your expertise will help empower young adults to achieve stability, resilience, and improved quality of life through compassionate, expert care. Responsibilities Conduct detailed psychiatric evaluations and diagnostic assessments for young adult patients, utilizing medical terminology and clinical data collection techniques. Develop personalized treatment plans incorporating psychopharmacology, psychotherapy (including cognitive behavioral therapy and psychodynamic therapy), and crisis management strategies. Provide ongoing outpatient mental health counseling and psychotherapy tailored to individual needs, including working with individuals with developmental disabilities and those experiencing PTSD or addiction issues. Manage medication regimens responsibly while ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintaining accurate medical records and documentation. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care, including intake procedures, post-residency follow-up, and inpatient transitions when necessary. Utilize telehealth technology effectively to expand access to mental health services for diverse populations across various settings. Engage in diagnostic evaluation and data collection to monitor patient progress and adjust treatment approaches accordingly. Maintain thorough medical documentation using appropriate medical terminology and ensure confidentiality of patient records in accordance with HIPAA standards. Experience Completion of residency training in psychiatry with post-residency experience in outpatient settings preferred. Proven experience working with children, adolescents, or young adults in behavioral health or clinic environments. Familiarity with pediatric psychiatry, Geriatrics (if applicable), and inpatient psychiatric care is advantageous. Demonstrated expertise in crisis management, addiction counseling, PTSD care, and working with individuals with developmental disabilities. Strong background in psychotherapy modalities such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, and other evidence-based practices. Experience utilizing telehealth platforms for patient assessment and treatment delivery is highly desirable. Knowledge of medical records management, medical documentation standards, and medical terminology relevant to psychiatric practice. $221.00 - $232.00 per hour
