Part-Time Vision Therapist Location:
Boca Raton, FL Schedule:
Part-time, 4 weekdays from approximately 2:00 PM to 6:00 or 7:00 PM, plus Saturdays 9:00 AM - 3:00

Vision & Learning Center About Us At Vision & Learning Center, we help children and adults improve the visual skills that affect reading, learning, attention, coordination, comfort, and daily life. Our practice specializes in vision therapy and developmental optometry, working closely with patients, families, schools, and other healthcare providers to support long-term success. Job Summary We are looking for a compassionate, dependable, and energetic Vision Therapist to work directly with children and adults during vision therapy sessions. This is a part-time position ideal for someone who enjoys working one-on-one with patients, is comfortable with children and families, and wants to be part of meaningful patient progress. The ideal candidate is patient, organized, positive, and able to follow structured therapy plans while keeping sessions engaging and productive. Experience in vision therapy, education, occupational therapy, physical therapy, tutoring, child development, or healthcare is helpful, but we are willing to train the right person. Responsibilities Work one-on-one with patients during scheduled vision therapy sessions. Guide patients through prescribed therapy activities under the direction of the optometrist. Help children stay engaged, focused, and encouraged throughout therapy. Track patient performance, effort, symptoms, and progress during each session. Document therapy activities and patient responses accurately. Communicate with parents about home practice, session performance, and general progress. Assist with therapy materials, equipment setup, cleanup, and organization. Support a positive, professional, and welcoming environment for patients and families. Help patients with home therapy instructions when needed. Communicate concerns or changes in patient performance to the doctor or clinical team. Qualifications Enjoys working with children, including children with learning differences, attention challenges, developmental delays, or special needs. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Patient, encouraging, and able to motivate children through challenging tasks. Reliable, punctual, and organized. Comfortable following structured treatment plans and documenting progress. Able to multitask in a busy clinical environment. Prior experience in vision therapy, healthcare, education, tutoring, occupational therapy, physical therapy, behavioral therapy, or child development is preferred, but not required. Basic computer skills required. Willingness to learn specialized vision therapy techniques and procedures. Schedule This is a part-time position with afternoon and weekend availability required.
Preferred schedule:
4 weekdays per week, approximately 2:00 PM to 6:00 or 7:00 PM Saturdays are required or strongly preferred Exact schedule may be discussed based on practice needs and candidate availability. Why Join Us?
