401(k) 401(k) matching Health insurance Paid time off Job Summary We are seeking a Front Desk person to join our team! As a Front Desk, you will be helping in answering phone calls, Checking patients in and out, collecting payments and schedule appointments. You will also be helping the office as liaison for reps and agencies. If needed, you will be preparing for each patient visit by preparing charts and pulling notes before their arrival, providing routine support alongside Providers and medical staff, and assisting with keeping track of tests and lab reporting to ensure everything arrives on time. You will also be helping manage the inventory of medical supplies, setting up machines and testing equipment, and cleaning instruments and rooms as needed. Everyone in our small office is cross trained to cover for other employees. The ideal candidate has strong customer service skills, an interest in learning more about a working medical environment, and has previous office experience. Responsibilities Patient Check-in/out Check insurance eligibilities Collect co-pays and balances Schedule appointments Answer phone calls Create telephone encounters Print lab results and visit summaries Track lab results and handle basic medical office duties Obtain Medical Records from Providers and Hospitals Clean instruments and equipment after use perform other duties as assigned by Management If needed (After providing training): Assist providers with basic medical care and procedures Prepare for the patient visit, including pulling charts and notes, as well as setting up medical equipment Prepare patients for Physician Take initial history Check patient vitals Check medications Prepare specimen for lab pick-up Qualifications Certified Medical Assistant preferred EMR and at least 2 years of Medical Office experience required Computer proficiency Excellent customer service skills Pleasant, happy, and compassionate attitude Honest and have good work ethics Everyone in our small office is cross trained to cover for other employees Strong attention to detail Excellent communication skills Reliable and punctual
