Full Job Description Description and Purpose:
The Admission Clerk is responsible for supporting billing functions and related business office activities relating to the patient admission process. Admission Clerk works to collect and ensure current and accurate patient demographic, insurance, and financial information. Primary duties include reviewing daily patient census, providing appropriate admission forms and collect patient signatures, interview patients and collect information needed to ensure accurate billing, provide education on financial assistance, and other clerical duties as needed. Admission Clerk is expected to be cross trained to provide coverage support to front desk/switchboard and support other business office functions as needed.
Qualifications:
Bachelor degree in related field is preferred, but not required Prior experience directly working with behavioral health patients is highly desired Prior experience with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) Systems required Working knowledge of insurance plans and benefits preferred Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word and Excel) Strong customer service and communication skills Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Patient Account Representative Duties and Responsibilities:
Responsible for collection, verification, and input of patient data and insurance information. Conduct patient interviews, gather appropriate forms and signatures, and provide financial assistance education to qualified patients Ensure patient data and account balance accuracy Assist with billing cycle and collection cycle clerical tasks Provide Front Desk support on a regular basis Other duties as assigned Benefits include: 26 paid days off (PTO) per year to start!
