Patient Services Representative/Referral Coordinator Responsibilities/Duties/Functions/Tasks :

Complete all paperwork to expedite medication and procedure authorizations Work closely with pharmacies and insurance companies Complete documentation and communications in EHR system Knowledge of CPT codes Extensive knowledge with Prior Authorizations Full documentation with all communications Educate patients and respond to the patients concerns promptly Contact patient with updated status or delays Schedule/confirm patient appointments Inform patients of their financial responsibility Check-In/Out Patients Educate patients about products being recommended Proactive problem solving Other duties as assigned Attention to detail, self-starter

Performance Requirements:

Quality written and verbal communication skills Professional in appearance and mannerisms Knowledgeable of Biologics and Prior Authorizations Knowledgeable in Electronic Medical Record software Able to demonstrate compassion and caring in dealing with others, patients and co-workers alike Able to prioritize tasks, understand the provider's instructions, and know when to seek information or advice Excellent customer service and interpersonal skill Fast, efficient and highly motivated Reliable and professional at all times

Experience:

Minimum two years' experience in a doctor's office. Dermatology knowledge preferred with background in authorizations.
