Job Description
Banyan Treatment Centers is seeking a hard-working and driven Admissions Coordinator to join our team. As the first point of contact for individuals seeking life-changing treatment, you will play a critical role in guiding patients and families through the admissions process with professionalism, empathy, and expertise—while keeping the pace, accuracy, and urgency that admissions demands. This is a fast-paced, high-energy role for someone who thrives under pressure, stays focused in a high-volume environment, and takes pride in getting the details right. The Admissions Coordinator plays a critical role in helping patients access care by conducting clinical pre-screening, verifying insurance benefits, completing documentation, and coordinating with internal teams to ensure timely and appropriate placement.

Pompano Beach, FL (On-site) Patient Communication & Engagement Respond to inbound calls, chat inquiries, and emails from individuals seeking treatment. Provide clear, supportive guidance regarding Banyan's programs and the admissions process. Maintain compassionate and professional communication when assisting individuals and families in urgent or emotional situations. Clinical Pre-Screening & Intake Support Conduct initial clinical pre-screening to help determine appropriate levels of care. Gather accurate patient information and ensure all required details are documented. Collaborate with admissions and clinical teams to support appropriate placement and a smooth intake experience. Insurance Verification & Documentation Verify insurance benefits and review private pay options when needed. Complete accurate data entry across multiple systems and platforms. Maintain organized records and ensure required documentation is collected to support timely admissions. Collaboration, Accuracy & Compliance Work collaboratively with internal departments to ensure seamless coordination and patient transitions into care. Support a patient-first experience through attention to detail, follow-through, and clear communication. Uphold confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA standards in all interactions and documentation. High school diploma/GED or higher. Previous experience in healthcare, customer service, admissions, or behavioral health. Familiarity with substance use treatment and/or recovery-based programming (including 12-step principles) is a plus. Familiarity with Salesforce and/or Kipu EMR preferred. Experience completing verification of benefits (VOB) to support timely and accurate treatment admissions is strongly preferred. Strong written and verbal communication skills with a high level of professionalism and attention to detail. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume environment while maintaining accuracy. Ability to remain calm and solutions-focused when supporting individuals and families during high-stress situations.
