Job Description

Job Summary:
Responsible for managing the daily schedule for providers, efficiently booking, altering, and canceling patient appointments, verifying insurance, handling patient inquiries, and maintaining patient records in the electronic health record (EHR) system, acting as a primary liaison between patients and the clinic.
Key Responsibilities Appointment Management:
Schedule, confirm, reschedule, and cancel patient appointments using scheduling software, adhering to provider templates and clinic policies.
Patient Intake & Registration:
Obtain and accurately enter patient demographic, insurance, and visit-reason details; inform patients of pre-appointment requirements (referrals, forms) and payment policies.
Insurance Verification:
Collect and verify insurance information, including coverage, copays, and authorization needs.
Communication:
Answer phones, direct calls, address patient questions, resolve scheduling conflicts, and provide a positive, empathetic patient experience.
Administrative Support:
Perform data entry, update patient records, manage patient portal tasks, and assist with other office duties as needed.
Coordination:
Communicate with medical teams to ensure smooth patient flow and facilitate referrals. Qualifications & Skills High school diploma or equivalent. Experience in medical office reception or scheduling. Proficiency with scheduling software and EHR systems. Excellent communication (verbal/written), organizational, and multitasking skills. Strong attention to detail, problem-solving, and customer service abilities. Knowledge of medical terminology and HIPAA confidentiality. Professional, empathetic, and calm demeanor, especially under pressure.

$15.00 - $16.00 per hour
