Job Description

LA Medical Associates was founded in 1994 as a provider of Podiatric Medicine & Surgery. Since then, we have expanded into a multi-specialty practice with the addition of Internal Medicine services. Our qualified physicians see patients at seven Palm Beach County offices conveniently located in Boynton Beach, Loxahatchee, Palm Beach Gardens, West Palm Beach, Palm springs, Wellington and Jupiter. We are eager to welcome a responsible and enthusiastic full-time Call Center Patient Repersentative to our team! This position will be based out of our West Palm Beach office.
Key responsibilities include:
Manage inbound and outbound customer calls in a timely manner Answer patients' questions and provide them with accurate information. Assist with billing by collecting necessary patient information to obtain prior authorizations and verify insurance. Collect and process copays, deductibles, and coinsurance. Distribute new patient paperwork and provide assistance when necessary. Maintain effective communication with patients, providers, and office staff. Ensure the proper filing of medical records in EMR system. Schedule patients and document in EMR. Manage telephone communication with patients and respond accordingly. Work efficiently with providers, medical assistants and other front desk associates within the practice.
Position Requirements:
Experience using Athena (highly preferred) Computer Literacy Verbal and written communication skills Ability to work effectively within a team Ability to multi-task and/or adapt to new situations Strong customer service skills An understanding of general medical office procedures (recommended) Bilingual (Required) Prior experience in the healthcare field (recommended) Compliance with OSHA and HIPAA guidelines
Pay:
$15.00 - $20.00 per hour
