Overview APP Neurosurgery - Piedmont Athens Hospital Piedmont Healthcare is recruiting for an advanced practice provider to join a very busy Neurosurgical practice on our Piedmont Athens campus. This position typically requires availability for a minimum of two days per week with potential for four. Responsibilities In this role you may:
Assist with hospital rounds, and surgical support.
Take patient histories, conduct physical examinations and record data in patient's medical record in ambulatory practice. Clinical responsibilities require thorough attention to detail.
Evaluate and treat patients to achieve optimal patient care.
Write progress notes; prepare patient work-ups and summaries noting pertinent positive and negative findings.
Develop plans of care that minimize complications and successfully troubleshoot problems when they arise.
Apply preventative and alternative treatment strategies for possible procedural complications.
Complete pre-op appointments for all surgical patients, work with supervising physician to ensure all required labs, clearances and testing is satisfactorily complete well before surgery.
Qualifications Requirements Preferred Qualifications 3-5 years of Neurosurgical experience with a high degree of clinical judgment Minimum Qualifications Masters, Bachelors Degree from an Accredited PA program and
