Full Job Description Description:
The Patient Access Representative serves as the initial point of contact for patients, handling incoming calls politely and efficiently. This role involves performing various administrative duties within the Electronic Medical Records (EMR) system, such as scanning patient demographics and processing dismissal letters. They are responsible for receiving and directing hospital consults to the appropriate on-call physicians, rescheduling appointments, and managing scheduling requests. Additionally, the representative ensures all front office voicemails are checked regularly throughout the day. Responsibilities Answers incoming calls promptly and politely Completes Electronic Medical Records (EMR) specific administrative duties Receives hospital consults and directs to the appropriate physician on call Scans patient demographics into EMR Completes dismissal letters per providers' request Reschedules patient appointments Receives actions/orders for scheduling Checks all front office voicemails (beginning of day, lunch, end of day)
Requirements:
Education and Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent Job knowledge and skills Basic knowledge of insurance Exhibits an ability to adapt to unpredictable situations within the work setting; able to remain flexible Demonstrates excellent verbal and written communication skills Demonstrates proficient computer/electronic medical record systems skills Full-Time Benefits & Perks Set scheduled 4-day work week Comprehensive Medical, Dental, and Vision insurance (effective 1st of the month following 60 days) Company-paid Long-Term Disability (60%) and $25,000 Basic Life Insurance 6
