Job Description Summary ‎ Vera Whole Health- Patient Services Representative (PSR)
Primary Location:
2570 Blackmon Dr, Suite #400, Decatur, GA 30033
Schedule:
Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, & Friday 8-5 - Thursday 9:30 to 6:30 pm
Experience Required:
2-3 years of front office experience in a healthcare setting

Medical, dental, vision, 401(k), 13 paid holidays, PTO About the Role The Patient Services Representative (PSR) is the first point of contact for patients—both in person and by phone. This role is essential in creating a welcoming, supportive environment and ensuring seamless coordination between patients and the clinical care team. The PSR must demonstrate professionalism, flexibility, and a strong commitment to patient-centered service. ‎ How will you make an impact & Requirements ‎ Key Responsibilities Patient Greeting — Welcome and direct patients, clients, and visitors in a friendly, helpful manner. Customer Service — Maintain excellent service standards; resolve issues promptly. Appointment Scheduling — Schedule patient appointments and update EMR records. Daily Outreach — Conduct reminder calls, emails, and other outreach as directed. Administrative Support — Perform general office duties and day‑to‑day administrative functions. Payment Processing — Collect and process payments at time of service. Phone Management — Answer high‑volume calls using multi‑line systems while following urgent/emergent protocols. Insurance Verification — Verify eligibility, contact insurers, and collect copays. Team Collaboration — Participate in team meetings and contribute to clinic priorities. Problem Resolution — Address patient concerns and escalate when appropriate. Confidentiality & Safety — Follow HIPAA, safety, and security protocols. Office Supply Management — Maintain inventory responsibly. Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications Required:
High school diploma or GED 2-3 years of healthcare front office experience 1-2 years of customer service experience Experience with multi‑line phone systems Proficiency with MS Office and EMR systems; 45+ WPM typing Attributes for Success Interpersonal Skills — Warm, professional communication with patients and staff Cultural Sensitivity — Ability to work with diverse populations Multitasking — Stay organized under pressure Critical Thinking — Strong problem‑solving abilities Flexibility and adaptability in a fast‑paced clinic environment Commitment to empathetic listening, mindfulness, continuous learning, and resilience Employee Health Requirements Hepatitis B vaccination or immunity Negative TB test within 90 days of start date Current CPR/BLS certification Annual influenza and COVID‑19 vaccinations per company policy Physical Requirements Extended periods of sitting Manual dexterity and eye‑hand coordination Normal corrected vision, hearing, and speech Equal Employment Opportunity Vera Whole Health is committed to equal employment opportunities.
