Job Description

Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Front Office Assistant, where your organizational skills and compassionate approach will be the backbone of our patient care experience. In this vital role, you will coordinate appointments, manage patient flow, and ensure seamless communication between patients and medical staff. Your proactive attitude will help create a welcoming environment while supporting efficient clinic operations. This position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your administrative expertise within a physical therapy outpatient orthopedic setting dedicated to exceptional patient service. Schedule and confirm patient appointments using electronic health record (EHR) systems Verify insurance coverage and perform insurance eligibility checks for Medicare and private insurers Manage multi-line phone systems with professional phone etiquette, addressing patient inquiries and redirecting calls as needed Review and update medical records, ensuring accuracy and compliance Assist with intake procedures, including collecting patient information and updating medical histories Support documentation review for billing and coding purposes, including
CPT, ICD-10
codes, and medical terminology Maintain organized filing systems for medical records and office documentation to ensure quick retrieval and confidentiality Proven experience in medical office management or administrative support within a healthcare setting, including clinical office experience Familiarity with EMR systems Strong knowledge of medical billing, coding (ICD-10/ICD-9/CPT), insurance verification, and health information management Excellent computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) and typing accuracy (10 key typing) Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to handle phone calls professionally and demonstrate strong office etiquette Knowledge of medical terminology and clinical office procedures is a plus Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and confidentiality This role is perfect for motivated individuals eager to contribute to a supportive healthcare environment.
