Clayton Outpatient Clinic Division/Department/Program:
Outpatient Services Full-time X Part-time PRN Exempt X Nonexempt View Point Health is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented outpatient behavioral health clinical leader. This position is responsible for programmatic oversight, service implementation, supervision, and monitoring of outpatient services provided. This role leads under the direction and in collaboration of outpatient senior leadership and works closely with other program leaders, clinical teams, and administrative departments to ensure center operational efficiency.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Organizes, directs, and coordinates the delivery of clinical services to ensure services are adequate, appropriate, and accessible for persons served, and follows CCBHC criteria.
- Promotes a supportive team environment that represents the mission, vision, and values of VPH and creates a collaborative team approach to problem solving and planning.
- Promotes a positive respectful environment for clients and staff utilizing the principles of Trauma Informed Care (TIC).
- Recommend, hire, train and evaluate performance of assigned staff. Develop, implement, and evaluate in-service training for staff.
- Provides direct supervision of Program Manager and/or Team Lead and demonstrates support and leadership in problem solving and addressing programmatic issues, including staff coverage, PTO/leave, PMFs, progressive disciplinary issues, etc.
- Provides direct supervision of medical prescribers (MD or APRN) to ensure services provided are aligned with VPH polices and SOPs/workflows and are following best standards of care. Consults as needed with VPH Medical Director
- Ensure all team members understand Quality Measures standards and expectations and helps support improvements to ensure established targets are met (docs signed 24hr, productivity/monthly billing targets).
- Continuous monitoring and internal program reviews of agency scheduling practices (e.g., Just in Time, Open Access) and KPIs to ensure established procedures are utilized.
- Responsible for oversight of the budget management, monitoring fee-for-service performance and exploring options to expand service delivery and program revenue.
- Works with Program Manager and/or Team Lead to assess vacancies and programmatic needs to include the process of recruitment, interviews, and selection of candidates. Ensure sufficient staffing to provide clinical services, including triage, intake, individual and group counseling.
- Ensure program compliance with all ERO/regulatory agencies, completes chart reviews and internal program audits, reviews policies and procedures to manage new and updates to existing practices. Develop program protocols and workflows to meet agency expectations and compliance standards.
- Ensure the best clinical practices (evidenced-based) are being utilized in the outpatient center, including outcome tools (PHQ-9, GAD7, ACE, etc.). Develop systems for evaluating quality, effectiveness, and efficiency of service delivery relative to program needs. Review curriculum/psychoeducation and facilitate implementation of evidence-based practices.
- Act as primary liaison to VPH programs to facilitate referrals, transition and/or discharge process. Facilitate communication between all VPH programs and/or external partners.
- Establish, develop, and maintain partnerships with community and strategic partners.
- Attend conferences and training courses to facilitate best practices in programs and enhance relationships with community partners, as assigned.
- Attend agency and external meetings and training, and other duties, as assigned.
- May conduct individual, family, group session and assessments, as needed.
Complete all documentation in a timely manner and ensure that all staff complete documentation in a timely manner.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Master's or Doctoral Degree in a behavioral health or healthcare discipline.
- Full licensure as an LPC or LCSW with a minimum of 5 years of experience.
- Minimum of five
- (5) years of experience working within an outpatient center/service.
- Minimum of two
- (2) years of experience in a supervisory position.
- Strong leadership and communication abilities.
- Solid knowledge of outpatient operations to include administrative and financial standard best practices with the ability to meet required metrics and expectations for overall clinical operational success.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a director of an outpatient clinic.
- Regulatory compliance knowledge.
- Flexibility to attend to urgent and/or emergency situations.
Requirements/Competencies:
Must be able to lift 20 pounds, Requires long periods of sitting/standing, Must be 21 years of age, Must have valid Georgia driver's license and Motor Vehicle Record in accordance with company policy. Candidates for selection must pass a criminal background check (including fingerprinting). Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and subject to random drug screens.
