MercyOne Dyersville Medical Center is a 20-bed critical access hospital serving 17 rural communities in western Dubuque county. As a Level IV Community Trauma Care Facility, it offers 24/7 emergency and trauma services, along with acute and skilled inpatient care, ambulatory surgery, home care and specialty clinics. The center includes a fully equipped laboratory, imaging services, retail pharmacy with drive-thru and delivery and Phase II cardiac rehabilitation tailored to those recovering from heart events. Outpatient and inpatient physical, occupational and speech therapy are available locally to help patients regain function and independence. MercyOne Dyersville Medical Center delivers compassionate, personalized health care that keeps essential care close to home. As a Registered Nurse at MercyOne, you will provide and direct safe, effective, and culturally competent care for patients with acute medical and surgical conditions. Through evidence-based practice, utilizes critical thinking to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate outcome-based care. The Acute Care RN manages a diverse patient population with varying levels of acuity, including post-operative, medical, telemetry, and neurologic patients. Supervises and coordinates care provided by LPNs, Patient Care Assistants, and other nursing team members. Facilitates communication with physicians, patients and families, and interdisciplinary team members. Adheres to MercyOne's performance expectations and upholds the Mission, Vision, and Values of MercyOne.

Essential Functions:

Conducts assessment Identifies patient problems and develops plan of care Implements outcome/goal - based plan of care Evaluates patient progress and revises the outcome/goal - based plan as needed Communicates relevant clinical information to the team to optimize patient outcomes/goals Demonstrates clinical competence Manages telemetry and cardiac monitoring when applicable Provides care appropriate to the age-related needs of the patients served on his/her assigned unit Adheres to all safety, infection control and colleague health policies and procedures Maintains a working knowledge of applicable Federal, State, and local laws and regulations, Trinity Health's Organizational Integrity Program, Standards of Conduct, as well as other policies and procedures in order to ensure adherence in a manner that reflects honest, ethical, and professional behavior.

Schedule:

Day Shift, 1.0 FTE (40 hours per week) 8-hour shifts Day shift: 7 am - 4:30 pm This position would be focused on outpatient services including infusions, injections, pre and post op and supporting emergency department

Minimum Qualifications:

Associate degree in nursing required Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred Possession of a current or compact state licensure as a Registered Nurse issued/defined by the State of Iowa American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) required American Heart Association Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required only if the unit has telemetry monitoring capabilities Proof of completion of Mandatory Reporter - Child and/or Dependent Adult Abuse training within three (3) months of hire Visit MercyOne Careers to learn more about the benefits, culture, and career development opportunities available to you at MercyOne Health System circle of care.
