Job Description

We are hiring for multiple positions, please share your availability when applying. Job Summary Gritman Medical Center is seeking a Patient Services Representative (PSR) to provide essential administrative and clerical support in a fast-paced healthcare setting. This role ensures smooth patient registration, appointment scheduling, and effective communication between healthcare providers, patients, pharmacies, and other medical offices. The PSR I is expected to maintain strict confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations while delivering excellent customer service and professionalism in every interaction. •We are hiring for multiple positions (both day and night shift) •Key Responsibilities Greet and assist patients and visitors in person and over the phone with professionalism and a positive attitude. Monitor call queues and patient wait times, ensuring efficient service. Maintain accurate patient accounts, process payments, and balance cash drawers. Enter and verify insurance and patient information with a high level of accuracy. Schedule patient appointments appropriately based on clinic protocols. Assist with medical record requests and chart preparation. Ensure the reception area remains clean, organized, and welcoming. Uphold patient privacy and rights by maintaining strict confidentiality. Respond to patient concerns or complaints professionally and efficiently.
Qualifications & Requirements Education :
No specific education required.
Experience :
Must have experience working with computers. Knowledge of basic office functions, including message-taking, data entry, and cash handling. Previous experience in a medical office is preferred.
Skills & Abilities :
Strong customer service, written, and verbal communication skills. Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency in computer programs and multi-line phone systems. Critical thinking and problem-solving skills with minimal supervision. Demonstrated flexibility and ability to adapt to changing workflows. Physical & Environmental Demands Ability to sit, stand, bend, twist, and kneel throughout the day. Requires occasional lifting (up to 35 lbs.), reaching, and pushing/pulling. Frequent interaction with patients, staff, and visitors in a busy office environment. Potential exposure to seasonal outdoor conditions and public health risks.
