Job Description

Patient Access Specialist- Magic Valley Float at St. Luke's Health System in Twin Falls, Idaho, United States Job Description The Patient Access Specialist is responsible for responding to patient, provider, and department/service area needs with a high emphasis on customer service and accuracy. This includes, but is not limited to, registration, complex scheduling, referral coordination, benefit verification, preauthorization, order transcription and general inquiries from patients, providers and the general public. This is a float position that will rotate between various St. Luke's locations in the Magic Valley. This provides a great opportunity to learn various skills and experience in various settings! Shift details: Part-time. 7 days a week and all hours, rotate on call shifts. Requires days, nights, and weekends! What you can expect from this role: Registration, scheduling, and referral coordination for patients Discussions on financial options and/or explanations of insurance coverage, including authorizations, verifications, and estimates Use a variety of technologies, tools and resources to support departmental workflows Serves as a role model, mentor, trainer and/or resource to coworkers Other duties as assigned Minimum qualifications for this role:
Education:
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Experience:
