Job Title:
Patient Access Representative Schedule:
Full-time and can be flexed between 8-8:30 start and/or 4:30-5p end time.

Hourly Pay:
$19-$22 (Paid every Friday)

Chicago, IL •Must have EPIC Experience on Resume• Job Summary The Patient Access Representative plays a crucial role in ensuring a seamless experience for patients as they navigate the healthcare system. This position involves managing patient interactions, verifying insurance information, and providing administrative support to enhance patient service. The ideal candidate will possess strong customer service skills and a solid understanding of medical administrative processes. Duties Greet patients and visitors warmly, ensuring a welcoming environment. Collect and verify patient information, including insurance details and medical history. Utilize electronic health record systems such as Epic and eClinicalWorks to manage patient data efficiently. Assist with coding and billing inquiries related to Medicare and other insurance providers. Provide support for office management tasks, including scheduling appointments and managing patient flow. Address patient concerns promptly, offering solutions or escalating issues as necessary. Collaborate with medical staff to ensure accurate communication of patient needs and services. Maintain confidentiality of all patient information in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Qualifications 2-3 Years in customer service or medical office experience. Familiarity with electronic health record systems such as Eaglesoft, Epic, or eClinicalWorks is highly desirable. Strong understanding of coding practices and Medicare regulations is a plus. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse populations. Proficient in office management tasks, including scheduling and data entry. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. A compassionate demeanor with a commitment to providing exceptional patient care. This role is essential in fostering positive relationships between patients and healthcare providers, ensuring that each patient's journey through the healthcare system is as smooth as possible.
