•About the Role MedOp Solutions is hiring a Patient Care Pharmacy Technician to support one of our specialty pharmacy partners in Elk Grove Village, IL . This hybrid opportunity offers flexibility while maintaining hands-on collaboration in the pharmacy setting two days per week. In this role, you'll serve as a key point of contact for patients, helping coordinate medication deliveries, manage supplies, and support pharmacists in delivering safe, accurate, and timely care. Key Responsibilities Contact patients and caregivers to schedule medication deliveries and confirm supply needs. Assist pharmacists with the preparation and dispensing of medications and medical supplies in compliance with pharmacy policies. Accurately enter and process new and refill orders in pharmacy workflow systems. Pick, package, and ship patient orders during onsite workdays. Monitor patient medication compliance and persistence and escalate concerns as needed. Evaluate and document adverse reactions , referring patients to pharmacists or nurses when appropriate. Process and verify insurance benefits and patient payment options . Maintain accurate tracking logs for order status, shipping, and delivery confirmation. Collaborate closely with intake teams and physician offices to ensure seamless patient care. What You Bring High school diploma or equivalent required. Active Illinois Pharmacy Technician License required. National Pharmacy Technician Certification (PTCB or NHA) required. Minimum 1 year of pharmacy or healthcare customer service experience . Specialty pharmacy experience preferred. Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel . Strong attention to detail with the ability to prioritize, multitask, and thrive in a fast-paced environment. Team-oriented mindset with excellent communication and customer service skills.
