Job Description

Position Purpose:
To provide medical records and support services for Triage and Crisis Residential.
Job Requirements:
Highschool Diploma/GED Job Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent combination of education, training and experience Keyboarding ability of 50 WPM Word processing experience or equivalent training Knowledge of medical records processing helpful Excellent spelling, proofreading and grammar skills Experience or training in a Windows-based computer environment
Essential Responsibilities:
1. Work an eight hour shift five days a week and be available to work additional hours when necessary. Overtime may be required. 2. Create matrixes for appropriate clients and file in the client record. 3. Input admissions and discharges into the software system as needed. 4. Monitor error/rejection/ineligible reports and provide prescribed follow up with clinical and supervisory staff. 5. Perform weekly health record reviews and record in client record as required. 6. Track that all documentation is in the electronic health record software and mark complete, incomplete or missing documentation. 7. Serve as a member of the Medical Records and Outpatient teams and participate in all team meetings and activities as required. 8. Coordinate and maintain organization of the assigned outpatient teams. 9. Maintain client charts as assigned. 10. Input data and prepare reports as assigned. 11. Maintain and schedule transportation requests 12. Understand and comply with all of the principles established by the Rosecrance Corporate Compliance Program and Code of Conduct. 13. Deliver exceptional customer service consistently to every customer. 14. Serve as a role model for other staff, clients and customers and demonstrate positive guest relations in representing Rosecrance. 15. Assume other related responsibilities as assigned by Supervisor.
