We have 14 office locations to provide excellent service to our patients close to their home. We are looking to add to our patient support team at our Oak Park clinic. The right candidate will have experience in a medical office, customer service, and a working knowledge of medical insurance. Responsibilities Greeting and welcome all patients or visitors upon arrival to the practice Accurate input of the detailed patient demographic and insurance information in Practice Management system Answer incoming phone calls with appropriate greeting Check patients in and out, including scheduling follow-up appointments. Collect amounts due (copay or balances on accounts). Electronically verify insurance coverage. Occasional travel between clinic locations for coverage

Experience Ophthalmology/Medical Office Practice:

1 year (Preferred)

Customer Service Experience:

1 year (Preferred) Experience in the use of PC's and EMR/Practice Management Systems Knowledge of medical and vision and insurances preferred Experience with NextGen and Microsoft Office Suite Skills Customer service skills required Effective Listening and Problem-Solving Skills Strong written and verbal communication (Bi-Lingual Spanish is a plus) Capable of maintaining an upbeat and positive outlook and approach Ability to work in a fast-paced environment Insurance Verification experience preferred Must be compassionate and can establish confidence and trust with patients Must have the ability to maintain professionalism in all situations Attention to detail in performing accurate data entry Create and maintain positive interpersonal relationships Ability to perform as part of a team as well as work independently Knowledge of medical and vision and insurances preferred Education/Certification High school diploma or equivalent is necessary Post-secondary is a plus
