POSITION SUMMARY
The Referral Specialist is responsible for the timely and efficient processing of referral orders. Organizes, coordinates, and communicates required information to patients, family members, providers, office staff, and insurance company representatives. Schedules appointments with specialists, facilities, patients, and obtains insurance precertifications and/or authorizations. Qualifications
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
High School/GED Experience:
​1 year of work experience in a medical office setting Other skills/knowledge: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Solid computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft software. Strong analytical and problem solving skills, with the ability to be detail oriented.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Experience:
Experience as a Medical Office Assistant. Experience with referral coordination Experience working with health insurance payors Basic knowledge of CPT-4 and
