Fishers Medical Office Building (MOB) Position Overview This position supports a multi‑specialty department by completing patient registration functions and serving as a key point of contact for patients, providers, and internal teams. The role requires daily collaboration with multiple departments to ensure accurate registration, efficient patient flow, and a positive patient experience. Primary Responsibilities Perform patient check‑in and check‑out processes Complete patient registration and demographic updates Manage patient letters and correspondence Work message pools and fax queues Direct patients and visitors appropriately Schedule appointments for patients Validate and enter charges into appropriate systems and collect required payments Patient Flow & Operational Support Facilitate patient flow from point of entry through destination in a timely, accurate, and professional manner Obtain and verify demographic and financial information to support accurate billing and optimal clinical outcomes Collaborate with clinical teams and other departments to support smooth clinic operations Skills for Success Ability to adapt to change while maintaining clear and effective communication Strong customer service and interpersonal skills Attention to detail and accuracy in documentation Ability to multitask in a fast‑paced environment Team‑oriented mindset with a willingness to support shared workloads Team Culture & Onboarding We are actively cultivating a team‑focused approach to workload management while maintaining a fun and supportive work environment. Onboarding includes a combination of virtual learning sessions and hands‑on, elbow‑to‑elbow training to ensure confidence and readiness in the role. Required & Preferred Qualifications High School Diploma or GED required Relevant experience in a healthcare setting preferred Ability to learn and retain medical coding concepts; experience with ICD‑10 and CPT coding preferred Ability to interpret insurance information; knowledge of clinical practices and medical terminology preferred Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel We are an equal opportunity employer.
