Join our team as a Dental Registration Lead and play a key role in connecting patients to quality, compassionate care. In this position, you'll combine your front-office expertise with leadership skills to support both patients and staff in a fast-paced, mission-focused environment. Why This Role Matters As the first point of contact, you set the tone for every patient's experience. Your work ensures that individuals and families—especially those in underserved communities—can access the dental care they need with dignity, clarity, and confidence. What You'll Do Patient Experience & Front Office Excellence Greet patients, visitors, and staff with warmth and professionalism Accurately register patients and maintain up-to-date demographic, financial, and insurance information Schedule, reschedule, and confirm appointments to support smooth clinic flow Verify insurance eligibility, benefits, and authorization requirements Collect co-pays and explain financial policies, including sliding fee scale programs Answer incoming calls and assist with patient questions and needs Maintain accurate electronic records in Dentrix and AthenaOne Ensure confidentiality and compliance with HIPAA standards Leadership & Team Support Provide daily guidance, coaching, and training to registration staff Coordinate team schedules, assignments, and coverage Monitor registration accuracy and identify opportunities for improvement Support onboarding, training, and hiring of new team members Collaborate with providers, billing, and leadership to improve operations and patient experience Track performance metrics and assist with reporting Insurance & Compliance Expertise Manage dental and medical insurance verification processes Ensure accurate documentation of Kentucky Medicaid eligibility, benefits, and authorizations Interpret insurance guidelines to support proper scheduling and patient communication Stay current with payer requirements, policies, and FQHC standards
What You Bring Education:
High school diploma or GED required
Experience:
2+ years in a dental office setting Strong background in insurance verification, including Kentucky Medicaid Experience with electronic dental records (Dentrix preferred) FQHC or community health experience is a plus Apply today and be part of something bigger—where your work truly matters. Dayshift
