SUMMARY OF POSITION
The Intake Coordinator is responsible for managing the intake process for individuals seeking admission to the facility. This includes conducting initial assessments, gathering necessary documentation, and coordinating with clinical staff to determine eligibility for the program. The Intake Coordinator serves as the primary point of contact for prospective residents, guiding them through the application process, answering questions, and providing information about the program and services offered. They also maintain accurate records of all admissions. The role requires strong communication skills, empathy, and the ability to work collaboratively with individuals in recovery and a multidisciplinary team of professionals.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Manage the intake process for individuals seeking admission to the residential recovery program, including conducting initial screenings and assessments Conduct resident intake and orientation in accordance with the Resident Intake Workflow policy Collect and review required documentation, such as medical records, identification, and insurance information, to ensure all intake materials are complete. Build relationships with other agencies Maintain accurate, uptodate records of all admissions in accordance with confidentiality regulations. Support the admissions teams in tracking bed availability and ensuring timely placement for qualified individuals. Conduct, monitor and evaluate the intake process, suggesting improvements to streamline operations and enhance the resident experience. Ensure all required documentation is accurately completed, collected, and securely maintained in accordance with agency policies and confidentiality standards. Assist with outreach efforts to raise awareness of the recovery home's services and encourage referrals. Provide residents with documentation and referrals to access educational, employment, and medical resources. Attend and engage in weekly individual and group supervision with Clinical Supervisor Perform all other duties assigned by the Program Director
REQUIREMENTS
Highschool diploma or HiSet Certificate 2years' experience performing intake and/or admissions in a healthcare, social services, or addiction recovery setting. Preferably for a Residential setting. Strong communication, organizational, and problemsolving skills. Empathy and a nonjudgmental attitude when working with individuals in recovery. Knowledge of confidentiality standards and HIPAA regulations. Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team. Proficient with office software, databases, and client management systems. If in recovery from alcohol/other substances must have 2years of continuous sobriety Must be able to pass Massachusetts CORI and Drug Testing requirements
DESIRED SKILLS
Two years in the field of alcoholism and substance abuse and/or life experience Working knowledge of 12 Step Programs Knowledge of or desire to learn Motivational Interviewing Skills CPR certification and Nasal Narcan training #
