Summary:
The Patient Access Representative (PAR) reports to the Director or Supervisor of Patient Access Services and is responsible for delivering high-quality customer service to patients, families, and referral sources. The role involves supporting both current and prospective patients by explaining services, handling incoming calls, registering patients, and directing calls to the appropriate teams when needed. Key Responsibilities Answer and manage phone calls Register patients across all business lines Provide information about services Route calls appropriately when transfers are required Qualifications High school diploma required; Associate's degree preferred 1-3 years of healthcare or medical office experience (or equivalent combination of education/experience) Proficiency with Microsoft Office and healthcare systems Strong communication skills and professional phone etiquette Ability to handle confidential information responsibly #
