Patient Service Technician / Phlebotomist (Travel)

Day Shift Role Summary We are seeking a Patient Service Technician / Phlebotomist for a travel-based role focused on blood collection, specimen handling, patient interaction, and data entry. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality patient care while ensuring accuracy and compliance in all laboratory-related processes. Key Responsibilities Perform phlebotomy procedures including venipuncture, finger sticks, and heel sticks Collect and handle specimens such as blood samples and throat swabs Provide instructions to patients for home sample collection Process specimens (centrifugation, preparation, and labeling) per established guidelines Accurately enter patient demographics and lab orders into Laboratory Information Systems (LIS) Deliver professional and courteous service to patients, healthcare staff, and physicians Travel to multiple sites including patient homes, nursing facilities, and laboratory locations Ensure compliance with HIPAA and safety standards Manage inventory and maintain adequate supply levels Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas Required Qualifications High School Diploma or GED Hands-on experience in phlebotomy, including venipuncture Valid Driver's License Strong communication and interpersonal skills Basic computer and data entry proficiency Preferred Qualifications Phlebotomy certification Knowledge of medical terminology Experience with Laboratory Information Systems (LIS) Experience working across multiple locations Disqualifiers No phlebotomy or blood draw experience No patient interaction experience No valid driver's license For more details reach at or Call / Text at 516-862-1203 .
