Allergy West is hiring a Part-Time or Full-time 28-40 hour Patient Service Representative to join our growing team! Seeking experienced individuals with a background working in a medical facility or private practice. This position requires flexibility. Reporting to the Practice Manager, this role serves as the first of contact between our patients and the practice supporting a large patient panel. As a Patient Service Representative, you are charged with providing high quality customer service to our patients with a commitment to our values and mission.

Responsibilities:
As a Patient Services Representative you assist patients by accurately verifying and updating demographics and insurance information, handling co-pays, scheduling, rescheduling and canceling appointments, checking patients in and out Customer service and patient satisfaction are key initiatives in this role Collect insurance copayments, patient balances, and explain insurance benefits Redirects calls as appropriate to meet patient needs Acts as liaison between patient, providers, billing, medical records, and management staff to ensure optimal patient service delivery Provides accurate information and guidance and attends to patient questions Ability to function independently with minimal supervision, and to plan, coordinate, and carry out those tasks necessary to meet the job responsibilities Processes confidential personal health information in accordance with
FHCW HIPPA
policies and procedures Maintain the presentation of the waiting areas Some evening shifts required/no weekends
Qualifications:
High School / GED required; Associates degree is a bonus Medical background is a
MUST EMR
