- Medical Office Assistant (Patient Access Representative)
Location:
- Bel Air, MD (On-site)
Schedule:
- Full-time | 8:00 AM-4:30 PM or 8:30 AM-5:00 PM
Employment Type:
- Contract-to-Hire (6 months)
Pay:
- $21-$23/hour (potential flexibility for higher experience)
- Position Overview
- We are seeking a
- professional, detail-oriented Medical Office Assistant
- to support a busy physician practice serving both pediatric and adult patient populations. This role is ideal for someone with strong customer service skills and healthcare administrative experience who is looking to grow long-term within a reputable healthcare organization.
- Key Responsibilities
- Greet and check in patients in a friendly, professional manner
- Answer and manage incoming calls while providing excellent customer service
- Schedule and coordinate patient appointments
- Verify insurance and collect necessary patient information
- Accurately maintain and update patient records in an EMR system
- Collaborate with providers and clinical staff on a daily basis
- Ensure a positive patient experience from check-in through departure
- Required Qualifications
- 1-2+ years of experience in a healthcare administrative or front desk role (medical office, scheduling, medical secretary, etc.)
- Experience working within an EMR system (
- EPIC preferred

- Pay and Benefits
- The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $23.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
