Front Desk Coordinator - Medical Office / Patient Services CoreLife - A Partner of MedStar Health Are you passionate about delivering exceptional patient service and creating a welcoming healthcare experience? CoreLife is seeking a Front Desk Coordinator to join our Bowie, MD clinic. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with medical front-office experience, strong communication skills, and a desire to make a meaningful impact on patients' lives. In partnership with MedStar Health, CoreLife is not simply treating symptoms—we are combating obesity as the disease it is. Schedule This position offers a set 4-day workweek, working Monday through Thursday, 10-hour shifts, giving you a consistent schedule and a 3-day weekend. Position Summary The Front Desk Coordinator serves as the first point of contact for patients and plays a key role in providing a positive, professional, and efficient patient experience. This position supports daily clinic operations, including patient check-in and check-out, scheduling, insurance coordination, payment collection, and communication with prospective and current patients. Key Responsibilities As a Front Desk Coordinator, you will: Provide an exceptional patient experience during check-in and check-out Assist patients with forms, paperwork, and required documentation Verify medical insurance information and assist with patient balances Collect payments, copays, and outstanding balances Schedule follow-up appointments and support patient care coordination Answer incoming phone calls professionally and in a timely manner Serve as a primary point of contact for prospective patients Educate referred patients on CoreLife's services, programs, and integrated care model Maintain the appearance, cleanliness, and organization of the clinic front office Support clinic teammates and providers with daily administrative needs Qualifications The ideal candidate will have: At least one year of medical front office experience Knowledge of medical terminology Familiarity with medical insurance, patient balances, and payment collection Strong customer service and communication skills Excellent interpersonal and problem-solving abilities Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills A passion for helping patients improve their health and quality of life What CoreLife Offers As a CoreLife teammate, you can expect: A values-based, patient-centered culture Competitive hourly pay: $17-$19 per hour Medical, dental, and vision insurance A wide selection of ancillary benefits Paid time off 7 paid holidays Retirement plan Consistent weekday schedule with a 3-day weekend CoreLife is an Equal Opportunity Employer. to join a team that is changing lives, one patient at a time.
