Admissions Coordinator 3.7 3.7 out of 5 stars 10 Crossroads Drive, Owings Mills, MD 21117 $26 an hour - Full-time HomeCentris Healthcare 14 reviews $26 an hour - Full-time Summary Responsible for receiving referrals, insurance verifications, obtaining authorizations, confirming demographics, required clinical information and communicating with primary physicians. Understands all company service lines and works to convert referrals into admissions. Communicates with hospitals, SNF's, physician offices, scheduling, and in-house supervisors to be sure patients will be seen timely and appropriately. Essential Job Duties AND Responsibilities Receives inquiries and referrals for HomeCentris services. Enters patient referral information into the applicable electronic medical record software with special attention to thoroughness and accuracy. Communicates with referral sources and verifies patient eligibility. Ensures each patient has a clear payor source, determines co-pays, and obtains appropriate authorizations. Documents all such information in the patient's record. Obtains physician orders, face-to-face documentation, and appropriate diagnoses information and documents all in the patient chart. Communicating patient scheduling readiness to Scheduler/Team Assistant. Checks PECOS compliance of physicians on each admission. Performs Admissions Satisfaction surveys. Enters accurate "Referral Dates" in medical record. Ensures timely starts of care by processing referrals in a timely, accurate manner. Maximizes the conversion of referrals to admissions by professional communication with patients, referral sources, and family members. Obtains applicable advanced directive documentation, when available, and loads to patient record. Prepares and maintains required departmental statistics and reports, as requested.
Professional Requirements:
Minimum of a high school diploma. Adheres to dress code, appearance is neat and clean, wears company identification Maintains patient confidentiality at all times. Excellent communication skills.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing
