Duties Greet patients warmly and assist them with check-in procedures, ensuring a positive first impression. Schedule appointments efficiently using medical office software, accommodating patient needs and provider availability. Verify insurance coverage, collect co-pays, and update patient records accurately within the electronic health record system. Answer incoming phone calls promptly, providing clear information and directing inquiries to the appropriate staff members. Maintain organized waiting areas and manage patient flow to minimize wait times while ensuring comfort and safety. Support medical staff with administrative tasks such as preparing documentation, faxing referrals, and managing correspondence. Uphold confidentiality standards by adhering to HIPAA regulations and safeguarding sensitive patient information. Skills Prior experience working in a medical or dental office setting with familiarity in medical terminology. Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask efficiently in a busy environment. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with patients and team members. Proficiency in medical administrative support tasks including appointment scheduling, insurance verification, and record keeping. Knowledge of office software applications such as electronic health records (EHR) systems and Microsoft Office Suite. Experience in a dental office environment is a plus but not required; enthusiasm for learning is essential. Ability to remain energetic, positive, and professional under pressure while maintaining attention to detail. Pay:
$17.00 - $19.00 per hour
