Patient Access Specialist

We're offering a long-term contract opportunity for a Patient Access Specialist in Lewiston, ME, with the potential to transition to a permanent role. This role is in the healthcare industry where you will be interacting with customers and patients, managing their accounts, and handling their inquiries. Entry level applies are welcome! Responsibilities:

• Engage in patient-facing activities and provide a high level of customer service.
• Process patient credit applications with accuracy and efficiency.
• Responsible for answering inbound calls and dealing with patient queries promptly.
• Maintain an up-to-date record of patient credit information.
• Perform authorizations, benefit functions, and billing functions as part of the role.
• Participate in clinical trial operations as required.
• Monitor patient accounts and take necessary actions based on account status.

Requirements Qualifications:

No healthcare experience required! Excellent role for anyone interested in healthcare! + HS Diploma or GED required + Previous experience in a customer-facing role (retail, hospitality, call center, etc.) + Strong communication and problem-solving skills + Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment + Basic computer skills and familiarity with data entry + High school diploma or equivalent required Multiple shifts with rotating schedules available, varying hours, shift differential available 1st, 2nd and 3rd shifts available!
