Job Description

Front Desk Reception/Scheduler - Medical Office
THE POSITION
We are seeking a self-starting, experienced individual to join our clinic as an Front Desk/ operator/scheduler. As a part of our Front Desk team, you will greet our patients in a friendly manner and check in and check out patients for appointments. You may also assist patients on the phone in making, altering and canceling medical appointments.
  • You accurately record patient information and route patient calls to the correct department or individual.
  • This position requires you have close attention to detail, impeccable phone etiquette, and working knowledge of common medical terminology.
  • Our ideal candidate has prior receptionist experience, especially in a medical setting, with excellent data entry and communication skills.
  • This is a Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm position
THE RESPONSIBLITIES
  • Answer patient calls, field questions, and assist patients in making new medical appointments and greet patients in a friendly manner.
  • Change or cancel appointments as necessary
  • Accurately note all patient information according to confidentiality standards and HIPAA requirements
  • Route call to the appropriate department or individual
THE REQUIREMENTS
  • High school diploma or GED certificate
  • Knowledge of common medical terminology
  • Prior receptionist/phone experience, ideally in a medical clinic environment
  • Excellent communication skills and phone etiquette
