Full Job Description Position Overview:

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Surgical Coordinator to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will support physicians by efficiently managing and coordinating sugical procedures. The ideal candidate is reliable, has a positive attitude, and great work ethic.

Duties:

Answer and respond to calls/emails from patients, their families, our office staff, and hospitals while providing excellent customer service Gather data and confirm accurate information needed to schedule procedures consistent with our procedures Ensure that necessary demographic, billing and insurance information is entered correctly into electronic medical records Accurately board procedures in advance and maintain a high level of organization Reschedule procedures as needed to accommodate emergencies or other unanticipated events. Promote proactive and positive communication with co-workers, patients, patients families, and hospitals Obtain authorizations for scheduled procedures

Qualifications:

Experience in surgical coordinating/scheduling/boarding

REQUIRED

Experience in customer service Experience in cardiology preferred Experience with insurance authorizations
