Job Description

Greet patients as they arrive and leave our clinic in a friendly and professional manner. The Front Desk Receptionist is responsible for welcoming patients, updating and verifying patient information, obtaining ID and insurance details, processing co-payments, and registering patients within the billing system. This role also maintains smooth communication between patients, providers, and clinical staff while assisting with scheduling inquiries and additional front office support as needed.

  • 6:00 PM This is a travel position between Grand Blanc and Fenton.
What You Will Be Doing Greet and check in patients in a friendly, courteous, and professional manner Accurately enter, update, and verify insurance information and patient demographics using multiple medical software systems Complete the patient registration process by reviewing accounts and compliance-related documents for completeness and accuracy Obtain and document any missing information required for registration Prepare paperwork for patient visits Verify patient benefits and eligibility when needed Collect co-pays, deductibles, co-insurance, and outstanding balances as appropriate Respond to questions regarding account status, payment arrangements, and billing concerns Resolve billing or charge disputes or forward accounts to the appropriate team member for resolution Monitor patient flow, adjust workflows, and communicate pertinent updates to clinical staff Act as a liaison between patients, guests, providers, and back-office staff Reconcile cash against daily charge and cash reports Schedule and confirm patient appointments Create, distribute, and file patient charts and medical records Perform clerical tasks including copying, sorting, scanning, and faxing Properly check out patients by collecting payments, ensuring forms are completed, and updating records as needed Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked front desk and waiting room area Follow all organizational policies and procedures, including standard operating procedures and the employee handbook Perform additional duties as assigned What You Know Required High school diploma or GED Strong verbal and written communication skills Preferred Telephone operator or high-volume call experience Entry-level candidates encouraged to apply What You Will Receive Competitive wages Robust benefits package including medical, dental, life, and short
