Nursing Full Job Description Nursing Director Med/Surg Tele Position Summary:
Responsible for the strategic direction, operational management, and financial performance of assigned unit(s). Ensures the delivery of high-quality, compassionate, and efficient patient care in compliance with all regulatory and accreditation standards. Works closely with hospital executives, departmental leaders, and medical staff to align patient care initiatives with the hospital's overall mission and strategic goals.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
1. Ensures the provision of safe, reliable, and compassionate nursing care by establishing objective quality assessment measures, analyzing data, and intervening to facilitate continuous improvement. 2. In partnership with the VP of Patient Care Services develops strategic business plans consistent with the organization's mission, vision and values. assures consistency in nursing care protocols and standards between and among assigned departments throughout the organization, ensuring compliance with regulatory and accrediting agency standards. 3. Collaborates with multi-disciplinary teams to ensure quality of patient care by communicating with ancillary departments, medical staff, etc. 4. Collaborates and partners with the VP of Patient Care Services, assumes primary responsibility for development, management and administration of Nursing capital and operating budgets for assigned departments within established parameters. Plans and accurately forecasts budgeting needs for capital expenditures, staffing requirements, and material expenses. 5. Ensures effective recruitment, hiring, retention, corrective action, and competency assessment process for employees in assigned departments. Conducts performance appraisals. Supports organizational and nursing policies related to staffing and employee relations.
Qualifications:
Required:
Bachelor's degree in related field Licensed as an RN to practice nursing in Michigan Minimum 5 years of nursing related experience and 5 years leadership experience
BLS Preferred:
Master's Degree in related field #
