The Intake Coordinator for the Precision Oncology Program plays a critical role in supporting program launch, coordination, and ongoing operations. This position serves as the primary point of contact for patient intake, ensuring accurate collection of clinical and genomic data while facilitating efficient case preparation and presentation for tumor boards and multidisciplinary clinics. The coordinator maintains a longitudinal view of each patient's journey through the precision oncology program—from initial intake through program completion—while supporting research initiatives and database integrity. This role requires strong organizational, clinical, and technical expertise, as well as the ability to collaborate across interdisciplinary teams. Essential Duties Patient Intake & Coordination Serve as the first point of contact for patients entering the Precision Oncology Program Collect and verify comprehensive patient history, clinical data, and supporting documentation Coordinate patient flow from intake through case review and program completion Genomic Data Management Ensure genomic testing results are accurate, complete, and up to date Organize and synthesize genomic and clinical data for presentation Collaborate with clinical and laboratory teams to resolve discrepancies or missing data Tumor Board & Multidisciplinary Support Prepare and coordinate cases for tumor board Develop clear, concise case presentations using PowerPoint and other tools Facilitate efficient tumor board operations, including scheduling, documentation, and follow-up Database & Research Support Maintain and manage a precision oncology database, ensuring data integrity and compliance Track patient outcomes and program metrics from entry through exit Support research initiatives, including data collection, reporting, and quality improvement efforts Program Development & Operations Assist with the launch and ongoing development of the Precision Oncology Program Identify opportunities for process improvement and workflow optimization Utilize project management principles to support program growth and sustainability Job Requirements General Requirements
  • State of Michigan RN licensure in good standing
  • OCN Preferred Work Experience
  • Minimum of 5 years of clinical oncology nursing experience required
  • Previous experience in an outpatient setting highly desirable
  • Previous research experience highly desirable
  • Experience or familiarity with genomic medicine and precision oncology preferred
  • Prior experience with tumor boards or multidisciplinary care settings preferred Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing required
  • Master's degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, or related field preferred Specialized Knowledge and Skills
  • Strong organizational and project management skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Experience with database management and data tracking
  • Ability to analyze and present complex clinical and genomic information
  • Strong communication and interdisciplinary collaboration skills
