As a Medical Office Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring smooth daily operations, providing excellent patient service, and supporting clinical staff with administrative tasks. Your expertise in medical terminology and office procedures will be vital to maintaining an efficient and welcoming environment for patients and staff alike. Responsibilities Greet patients warmly, verify insurance information, and schedule appointments to facilitate seamless patient flow. Manage patient records accurately, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with privacy regulations. Support clinical staff by preparing examination rooms, updating patient charts, and handling administrative documentation. Respond promptly to patient inquiries via phone or electronic communication, providing clear and professional assistance. Ensure the office environment adheres to health and safety standards, including sanitation protocols. Utilize medical terminology effectively to document patient interactions and communicate with healthcare providers. Experience Prior experience working in a medical or dental office setting is highly preferred. Proficiency in medical terminology and familiarity with healthcare documentation practices. Demonstrated ability to provide exceptional administrative support within a busy healthcare environment. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in managing patient records and office procedures. Experience with medical billing, coding, or insurance processing is advantageous. Office experience involving scheduling software or electronic health records (EHR) systems is desirable.
