Job Description

Office Clerk Magnolia Heart & Lung Clinic Full-Time Job Summary:
To serve the clinic's needs regarding customer service, medical records, insurance, billing and scheduling of patient care services. To assist the clinical staff as needed. Responsible for adhering to strict confidentiality standards.
Education Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED required.
Experience:
Experience in a physician's office a plus; knowledge of billing, ICD coding, posting charges, and collecting pertinent data for statistics. Must have understanding of the operation of office equipment such as fax machines, copiers, calculators, and computer software.
Language/Communication Skills:
English required. Multilingual capabilities enhance the ability to perform this job. Must have the ability to speak effectively and professionally to all staff, management, and all outside individuals at all levels from elementary to professional.
Reasoning Ability:
Must have the ability to apply non-judgmental reasoning capabilities whenever necessary when dealing with patients, visitors, and staff. Critical thinking and multitasking skills a must.
