Job Description

Registration Clerk Patient Access Job Summary:
Principal responsibilities of the MRHC registration clerk are varied and include, but is not limited to; promoting and practicing excellent interpersonal relationships with Patient Access clerks, H.I.S. employees, Quality Assurance, Nursing, Physicians, the public, patients, and insurance company representatives. Assists in promoting customer service and creating a positive patient experience.
Education Requirements:
High school diploma or GED required. Some college or business courses preferred.
Experience:
Experience in a hospital or medical setting is preferred. Experience with computers is preferred. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are required.
Language/Communication Skills:
English required. Multilingual capabilities enhance the ability to perform this job. Must have the ability to speak effectively and professionally to all staff, management, and all outside individuals at all levels from elementary to professional.
Mathematical Skills:
Skill in adding and subtracting two-digit numbers.
