Job Description

Summary of Performance Expectations The Medical Office Educator will support CVMG medical practices by helping to develop, implement, and ensure adherence to policies and procedures for front desk communication and workflow, medical billing and coding, and managing patient records in the electronic medical record. This position will provide strong leadership in fostering a collaborative team environment. The Medical Office Educator is responsible for training and educating front-end and clinical staff, ensuring the quality, accuracy, and consistency of all systems used, with a focus on delivering excellent customer service. The role includes creating and distributing educational materials and programs to improve staff knowledge and performance. The Medical Office Educator works closely with office leadership to address employee concerns or workflow challenges and provide appropriate resolutions. This position reports directly to the Administrator of CVMG and maintains strong working relationships with the Senior Operations Managers, Office Managers, and staff to ensure an efficient and effective workflow across all operational areas. Education and Credentials Required Associates degree. May consider seven years of prior medical office experience in lieu of degree. BCLS certification from the American Heart Association Preferred Bachelor's Degree Work Experience Required Five years of medical office experience in an outpatient setting. Five or more years of experience in a clinical setting within a physician practice or similar healthcare setting holding roles such as a medical assistant, certified medical assistant, licensed practical nurse or other clinical support position involving direct patient care using an Electronic Health Record system (EHR) Experience in eClinicalWorks required. Highly developed office skills required, with an emphasis on customer service and data accuracy. Candidate must be familiar with medical terminology and have a general understanding of front office and clinic staff responsibilities. Preferred Seven years previous medical office experience. Previous management experience or demonstrated management potential.
