Job Description

About us
Responsibilities:
  • Greet and check-in patients, ensuring a positive and welcoming experience
  • Schedule and confirm patient appointments using medical scheduling software Athena
  • Collect and update patient information, including medical history and insurance details
  • Assist with patient registration and verify insurance coverage
  • Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries in a professional and timely manner
  • Maintain patient records and ensure accuracy and confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations
  • Coordinate referrals to other healthcare providers as needed
  • Assist with medical billing and coding tasks, including verifying insurance claims and processing payments
  • Prepare examination rooms for patient visits, ensuring cleanliness and availability of necessary supplies
  • Provide administrative support to healthcare professionals, including managing correspondence, filing documents, and organizing schedules
Requirements:
  • Seeking those who have used the EHR Athena in the past
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's degree in a related field preferred
  • Previous experience working in a medical office or healthcare setting is highly desirable
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures is essential
  • Proficiency in using office software such as Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive patient information
