Patient Access Representative 3.0 3.0 out of 5 stars 1113 Sherman St, Saint Paul, NE 68873 Full-time Howard County Medical Center 29 reviews Full-time Patient Access Representative Howard County Medical Center invites applications for the position of Patient Access Representative at its location in St. Paul, Nebraska. The Patient Access Representative registers patients, conducts patient interviews, explains patient bill of rights, and collects patient signature on appropriate forms. This position is also responsible for explaining hospital policies, financial responsibilities, and collects co-pays. This individual will serve as a backup to answering phones and transferring calls for the facility.
Position Hours:
Forty (40) hour work week•four (4) days with a rotating day off. Hours are 7:30am•5:30pm. Saturday rotation working every fourth
Saturday:
7:45am•12:00pm
Education/Qualifications/Skills/Abilities:
High School Diploma or equivalent Experience in a related field preferred Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide Ability to generate, read, interpret, and take action as it relates to basic financial statements, national and state regulations, operational and maintenance and organizational policy/procedures Ability to write reports and correspondence Ability to work cooperatively and communicate effectively to maintain good working relationships Ability to work with skill in identifying problems Ability to work with many types of people and have good customer service skills. Ability to answer the phone and transfer phone calls to the appropriate people.
