When you join the Inpatient Teleservices team as a Central Monitor Technician (CMT) at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center you are joining a team that works together to provide continuous telemetry monitoring to hospital patients who need close monitoring of their heart rhythms during their hospital stay. A Central Monitoring Technician , or CMT, at DHMC is an integral member of the patient care team. As a CMT, you will receive on-the-job training to recognize heart rhythms and alert bedside care teams of changes or potential life-threatening emergencies. Under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, the CMT continuously monitors heart rhythms and interprets dysrhythmias in accordance with policy and procedure. On the job training provided No certification required upon hire Career advancement friendly department This is a full-time, 36hr per week, benefitted position. 3 day/night rotating 12hr shifts per week with required rotating weekend shifts. DH Offers You:
Employees hired to work at least 0.50 FTE (20 hours per week) and their eligible dependents may participate in Dartmouth Health benefit plans on the employee's first day of employment.

Employees also receive a base employer contribution of 4% of biweekly pay plus a High Deductible Health Plan (HDHP) that is matched with a Health Savings Account and a PPO Plan that features higher premiums balanced by copays and lower deductibles.
Retirement:
Employee contributions are vested immediately . Biweekly matching contribution of 50% on up to 4% of pay saved—for a maximum match of 2% of pay.
Paid Time Off:
Paid time off is accrued per pay period based on hours worked. This includes six paid holidays.
Shift Differential:
10% evening, 20% night, and 15% weekend shift differentials when applicable.
Tuition Reimbursement:
Up to $3,000 per year. Dental Vision Responsibilities Continuously monitors cardiac rhythm and recognizes, identifies, analyzes, and documents arrhythmias, abnormal cardiac rhythms, rhythm changes, and promptly reports pertinent findings or changes to the clinical nurse. Documents per the Remote Telemetry and Redundant Cardiac Monitoring Policy and related documents. Provides real-time video monitoring of assigned patients meeting criteria to ensure patient safety and documents per Virtual Patient Safety Surveillance Policy. Responds to all alarms and initiates communication promptly. Understands clinical area chain of command for escalation as needed. Communicates clearly and compassionately with patients while performing virtual patient safety surveillance. Notifies responsible direct care clinicians and supervisor immediately in the event of a failure of monitoring equipment. Performs other duties as required or assigned. Qualifications High school graduate required. Must demonstrate keyboarding skills and be familiar with computer use. Previous hospital experience preferred. Completion of advanced dysrhythmia course upon hire and successful passing grade on organizational EKG test upon completion of orientation and annually. Effective Communication skills Successful completion of competency-based orientation program Ability to multitask with multiple competing priorities.
