In this vital role, you will be the friendly face and organized voice of our optometric practice, ensuring seamless patient interactions from appointment scheduling to insurance verification. Duties Greet patients warmly upon arrival, providing exceptional front desk and patient service support Schedule appointments accurately and appropriately Collect insurance coverage information and accurate patient information. Collect and review patient documentation, ensuring completeness and accuracy for medical records and billing purposes Assist with patient check-in and check-out procedures, including updating personal information and collecting co-pays Manage multi-line phone systems with professional phone etiquette, addressing patient inquiries promptly Collaborate with clinical staff to facilitate smooth patient flow and care plan coordination Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations by safeguarding patient information during all interactions This position could become part of our Ophthalmic tech department with direct patient care duties. Qualifications Proven experience in a medical office setting or healthcare environment, preferably but willing to train the right candidate. Ability to review documentation thoroughly and ensure accuracy in medical records and care plans Exceptional customer service skills with a professional phone manner and effective communication abilities Attention to detail with strong clerical skills including data entry accuracy Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to maintain confidentiality at all times Join us in delivering outstanding patient care through efficient administrative support!
