Job Description

Job Summary:
Acts as primary point of contact and performs preliminary assessment of all clients seeking services. Performs a wide range of administrative duties in support of admissions.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
Initial point of contact for clients seeking services at LRMHC including monitoring phone line and e-mail. Completes the pre-admit bundle. Updating scheduling information via email. Adds and removes place holder intake slots as needed into clinician's schedules. Schedules clients according to the appropriate program and clinician. Directs adults seeking Laconia services to come during Open Access hours. As outside provider referrals are received, Admissions Representative reaches out to complete the screening. Maintains the referral waitlist as needed. Responsible for tracking all requests that are not immediately scheduled and are placed on the waitlist. For intake appointments that are urgent, admissions representative works with program directors to secure a timelier appointment. Responsible for data collection and analysis regarding meeting agency timelines for initial appointments along with gathering data around services requested that we do not provide, i.e. the potential for adding services for increased revenue. Will actively monitor job requirements for changes to increase efficiency and customer service and make recommendations. Performs other duties as required by the Office Manager.
Required Skills/Abilities:
The individual must possess the knowledge, skills and ability noted below or be able to explain and demonstrate how the individual can perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation, using some combination of skills and abilities. Must be able to establish a rapport with the patients. Must treat all patients with dignity and respect. Demonstrates an understanding of the Agency's vision and mission and acts in accordance with it. Consistently acts with honesty and integrity, while demonstrating a strong commitment to quality services and the interests of the individuals we serve. Basic typing skills are required. The ability to handle sensitive information with the utmost confidentiality is required. The ability to organize and prioritize numerous tasks and complete them under time constraints. Excellent customer service and oral communication skills, both in person and by phone are required. Maintains open, positive communication promoting a positive atmosphere of cooperation and professionalism. Is able to maintain good working relationships with employees both within and outside his/her department. Relates to other staff in a professional and courteous manner.
Education and Experience:
High School diploma or equivalent Three years relevant experience in administration with prior scheduling and billing experiencing using an Electronic Health Record preferred but not required
Physical Requirements:
• Is able to sustain light physical effort such as frequent standing, walking, bending, stooping, reaching and/or occasional lifting of items 20 lbs. or more. • Is able to tolerate periods of heavy workload or excessive stress.
