Duties Greet patients warmly and assist them with check-in and check-out procedures to create a welcoming atmosphere Verify patient information, schedule appointments, and manage appointment reminders to optimize clinic flow Collect and process patient payments, insurance information, and co-pays with accuracy and professionalism Maintain detailed patient records, update charts, and ensure confidentiality in compliance with privacy regulations Answer incoming calls promptly, address patient inquiries, and direct calls to appropriate healthcare providers or departments Coordinate with medical staff to facilitate smooth communication and appointment scheduling Support medical administrative tasks such as faxing, filing, and data entry to keep the office organized and efficient Skills Prior experience working in a medical or dental office setting is highly preferred Strong knowledge of medical terminology to accurately interpret patient information and documentation Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients, staff, and insurance providers Proficiency in medical administrative support functions such as scheduling software, electronic health records (EHR), and office equipment Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced environment Familiarity with dental office operations is a plus but not required Demonstrated professionalism and compassion when assisting patients during their visits This role is perfect for motivated individuals eager to contribute to quality healthcare delivery.
