Job Description

Job Summary:
Basic purpose or primary function of the job.

This part-time staff member will work 21 hours per week to field inquiries for potential counseling clients. As the first response for clients who reach out to JFCS in need of counseling, this individual must demonstrate a caring, responsive, and problem-solving attitude, and work collaboratively with the front office, billing staff, and members of the Counseling Department.
Job Responsibilities:

Receive incoming communications to determine the nature of callers request. This includes handling incoming calls, emails, faxes and retrieving voice mail messages accurately and timely.

Collect all pertinent information from individuals calling JFCS and enter that information accurately onto the Intake Spreadsheet and database as directedUnderstand and respect the sensitivity and confidential nature of issues discussed and information handledExercise careful discretion when collecting, discussing and documenting all informationWork with the billing staff to help verify insurance coverageShare information regularly with the Clinical Director and counselors as directedRefer to proper community resources as directedPerforms other related duties as assigned or required
Requirements:
Bachelors degree Background in social work a plus
Qualifications:
Ability to work independentlyStrong problem-solving and analytical skillsCompassionate and warm disposition Excellent interpersonal and telephone skills Ability to work with culturally diverse groups Strong Computer Skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and data entry
