Job Description

Patient Service Representative - Receptionist Premier Eye Associates - 3.4 Collingswood, NJ Job Details Full-time 1 day ago Qualifications Patient flow optimization Insurance verification Phone communication Greeting customers Medical scheduling Task prioritization Patient interaction Communication skills Entry level Client interaction via phone calls Full Job Description Who This Role Is For This is not a typical receptionist position. You are the first and last impression of our practice. You set the tone for the entire patient experience and help keep the office running smoothly, even when things get busy. We are looking for someone who can handle people, pressure, and pace at the same time. We can train systems. We cannot train attitude, awareness, or accountability. The Reality of This Role You will manage phones, patients, and scheduling simultaneously There will be moments where multiple patients need your attention at once You will interact with patients who are late, frustrated, confused, or in a rush You are expected to stay calm, professional, and friendly in all of those situations Your ability to communicate clearly and keep things moving directly impacts the entire office If you prefer a slow, predictable environment, this will feel overwhelming. What Success Looks Like You will thrive here if you naturally: Stay composed and solution-focused under pressure Communicate clearly, confidently, and with intention Take ownership when something goes wrong instead of deflecting Manage multiple priorities without shutting down Pay attention to details like names, timing, and accuracy Follow through quickly and reliably Maintain a positive tone even during stressful moments This Is NOT the Right Role for
You If You:
Get flustered when multiple things happen at once Avoid difficult conversations with patients Need constant direction instead of taking initiative Struggle receiving direct feedback Tend to blame systems or others when mistakes happen What You'll Be Doing Greet and check in patients with confidence and warmth Manage a high volume of phone calls and scheduling Verify insurance and communicate financial expectations clearly Coordinate patient flow and keep the schedule moving Handle patient questions, concerns, and occasional frustration Support other areas of the practice when needed What We Value Walk the
Walk:
We do what we say and own our mistakes Shift the
Paradigm:
We create a standout, memorable patient experience
Think Big:
We don't settle for average performance
Be Family Oriented:
We treat patients and teammates with genuine care
Grow:
We expect continuous improvement
Deliver Happiness:
Every interaction matters Application Requirement (Important) To be considered, include the word "clarity" in your application responses so we know you read this fully. Final Note This role is fast-paced, people-heavy, and requires strong communication and composure. We are not looking for someone to "answer phones." We are looking for someone who can control the front of the office and elevate the patient experience. If that sounds like you, apply!
